Inventing the Language: How We Designed a Luxury Digital Experience Before the Industry Had a Name for It

At a time when luxury brands treated the internet as a threat to exclusivity, Ferrari-Maserati Group built something no one had attempted: a fully integrated digital customer experience. From an exclusive e-commerce platform for Ferrari owners, to a global omnichannel CRM, to a content storytelling program that repositioned Maserati as the defining voice of European gran turismo — we wrote the playbook before the playbook existed.

In the early 2000s, the luxury industry operated on a simple conviction: exclusivity and digital access were incompatible. Ferrari and Maserati were no exception. What we built proved otherwise.

The first pillar was a members-only e-commerce platform built exclusively for Ferrari owners — a digital extension of the ownership experience. It wasn't just a transaction engine; it was a privilege, engineered to feel that way.

The second pillar was a global omnichannel CRM strategy — one of the first in luxury automotive — that connected dealerships, digital touchpoints, and customer data into a single, coherent relationship framework. CLV modeling, lead scoring, and loyalty architecture replaced intuition with intelligence.

The third pillar was a content storytelling program designed to reposition Maserati — not as Ferrari's quieter sibling, but as the soul of gran turismo. Through iconic model launches including the Quattroporte, GranTurismo, and MC12, we built a narrative that earned the brand its own cultural authority, validated by a Profnet Award for Best Digital Presence in the sports car industry.
